VisualDx is offering FREE access to its flagship app for dermatology-interested medical students. Access includes the web app (available on desktop) and VisualDx Mobile (available for iPhone and Android devices).
VisualDx is an award-winning diagnostic clinical decision support system that has become the standard electronic resource at more than half of U.S. medical schools and more than 1,600 hospitals and institutions nationwide. With nearly 3,000 diagnoses, 41,000+ images (dubbed the world’s best medical image library) plus medical knowledge from experts, VisualDx guides diagnosis, treatment, self-education, and patient communication. VisualDx is unique in that you can quickly develop a comprehensive diagnostic differential by entering patient symptoms, signs, and other factors. PLUS, in VisualDx Mobile you can quiz yourself on your visual diagnostic skills with our in-app quiz.
Interested in bringing VisualDx/VisualDx Mobile to your Derm Interest Group? Chapter presidents should email Lauren MacDonough at email@example.com this information:
Chapter President’s first, last name, email
Number of students in your DIGA chapter
Lauren will send you instructions on how to register after receiving this information.
VisualDx is offering free access in exchange for student feedback and input on VisualDx. As part of this program, VisualDx is interested in the potential educational impact of decision support on mobile devices. Throughout the course of your access, you will receive emails from VisualDx ranging from tips and tricks, to requests for case studies, to surveys. Failure to open emails and respond appropriately in a timely manner puts your access in jeopardy. Lauren will assess shutting off access to unresponsive student groups on a case-by-case basis.
Once you graduate from medical school, you will lose your access. But don’t worry! We are in more than 1,600 hospitals and institutions so chances are you will have access in the next part of your medical journey. You can always ask us if your next hospital/institution has VisualDx. Just email Lauren at her email address above.
