We are joined by Dr. Mildred López, a board-certified Dermatologist and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgeon, to discuss what makes cosmetic dermatology unique, the fellowship process, and general advice for those interested in applying to dermatology. The DIGA Southern Dermatology Spotlight is a virtual event created for medical students interested in Southern dermatology residency programs and the work they are doing. The event will feature Southern dermatologists commenting on the opportunities offered at programs in the region and the unique opportunities and research being conducted. Additionally, there will be a virtual research component for students to present their research abstracts. Abstract submission can be found at the link below (also in our research highlight and the link in our bio) submission is due April 14th.
On todays episode we are joined by Dr. Mojica. He is a PGY-2 dermatology resident at the University of Florida, Gainesville ( @ufdermatology )who is the first DO to attend the program.
