Dr. Kiuru's Research Fellowship

Calling all medical students interested in joining DIGA! We want to remind you of the opportunity for new members to receive a UPF 50+ care package from our wonderful sponsor, Coolibar. If interested, please complete the following steps:

DIGA is implementing a Reflections/Arts section in our upcoming newsletter, where medical students can share pieces, stories, and artwork. It will be a way for you to express yourselves, share what you've been working on, and show topics you've been passionate about. Examples of potential submissions include: Photography, paintings/drawings, poetry, personal reflection, short narratives/fiction,satire, comics etc.

About the Program

Fellowship 1: This is a 1 year long "gap year" research fellowship for medical students interested in pursuing a career in dermatology. The successful applicant has the opportunity to design their own project and to work closely with our research team on ongoing research. Our department is active in clinical studies, clinical trials, translational science, industry-sponsored studies, and investigator-initiated projects. In addition, medical student research fellows will have opportunities to participate in dermatology clinics, resident didactics, Grand Rounds, journal club, research meetings, and other dermatology conferences.
